How do I check my camera and microphone?
- Make sure your device’s camera and microphone are turned on.
- If you see a pop-up asking for permission to use your camera and microphone, click “Allow.”
- If you’re using a desktop or laptop, check your settings to ensure the correct camera and microphone are selected.
What if I can’t hear or see anything?
- Ensure your volume is turned up and your microphone is not muted.
- If there are connection issues, closing and reopening the link or refreshing the page often helps.
Can I have someone join the meeting with me?
- A family member can help set up the video call; however, to protect you and your family, only you or your spouse/partner should be present during the appointment. This measure helps eliminate any risk of undue influence, which could jeopardise any future work we do for you. We want to ensure that everything is legally secure and in your best interests.
What if I lose connection during the meeting?
- If you get disconnected, simply click the link in your email again to rejoin.
- If you continue to have issues, don’t worry – your advisor will call you to see how they can help.
